Baki The Grappler Season 1(2001)
The original 24-episode season faithfully follows the beginning of the manga instalments except for a few details. The story begins with a young Baki Hanma who is an unusually strong person and details his childhood and his first fight against his father Yujiro and how he begins his journey to surpass his father as the ultimate fighter. Released in august 1994, this OVA features the first two fights and is a quick watch. The character of Baki in this one is pretty different from the ones fans are familiar with. Instead of the subdued, serious Baki, he is quite spirited and even silly at times. The character was largely reimagined later to give the audience a more grounded personality of the hero. While a lot of the scenes are already animated in the first two seasons, you can still watch this OVA.
Baki: Most Evil Death Row Convicts Special Anime (2016)
15 years after the original series ended, this OVA commemorated the 25th anniversary of the original manga series and canonically succeeds the Baki The Grappler instalments and was a prelude to a new series in the Baki watch order. Five of the most dangerous convicts in the world escape from their prisons and decide to contest against Baki Hanma and four others, in order to test themselves and have a true taste of defeat.
Baki takes place just days after the Tokugawa tournament when he is informed that five extremely dangerous and lethal death row inmates have escaped prison and are headed to Tokyo for a beast fight. This series is a more detailed adaptation of the events in the prelude and takes the series in a new direction. This adaptation is said to give this popular show a big shift with the newest adaptations.
Baki Season 2: The Great Raitai Tournament (2020)
As per the watch order, this second season of Baki brings us the hero poisoned and weakened as a result. Just as his life hangs precariously, a cure is found. But he can only gain it if he participates in the Raitai Tournament, held once every 100 years. Soon, he travels to China to take part and fight some of the world’s strongest fighters, including his father, Yujiro.
Hanma Baki follows Baki’s preparation to face off against his father, The Ogre. This involves him going to the Arizona State Prison to test his skills against a notorious inmate known as Mr Unchained. This season suggests that his face-off with Yujiro is imminent but we can only wait and see what the next season will bring.

The Leftovers will leave you with so many questions but beyond words, you have to feel it and savour its unanswered questions to find peace. The Leftovers is an incredible television series that starts incredibly well but loses its way by the series's end. I have to say though, Carrie Coon has brilliant moments in the end. The Leftovers is so weird, fragmented and nonsensical at times that it reminds me of Lost. If you are looking for shows like Lost, I recommend that you give The Leftovers a try.

I found that the show’s premise was very intriguing and the actors give a very convincing performance. The narrative details of the show, however, in my opinion, are a bit sloppy and inconsistent. The writers surely have room for improvement but their concept is incredibly thrilling. Every episode of Manifest keeps you on your toes. Manifest has completed 3 seasons up until now and continues to be on air. Manifest is a pretty good choice if you want to watch TV shows like Lost.

One day the protagonist (Peter Krause) Joe Miller’s daughter disappears inside the room. Joe, with the help of objects present in the room, tries to find his daughter Anna (Elle Fanning). The story of Lost Room was intensely engaging. I found the direction and the actor’s performances to be absolutely brilliant. It baffles me that the creators did not return to make another short season within the same concept. Flight 29 Down uses the technique of a video diary as a plot device for the viewers to keep up with the story of these children. It was very engaging to watch young intelligent characters finding their way on the island. The first two seasons of the show are quite engaging but I seemed to lose interest in its 3rd and final season. Regardless, Flight 29 Down is a really good series to watch if you want to see TV shows like Lost.
